Advocacy is an important part of the work of Zonta Foothills Club of Boulder County. While remaining nonpartisan, Zonta Foothills advocates for laws, legislation and attitudes that will improve the status of women. By accepting this role, each member of Zonta Foothills Club will challenge themselves to become a voice for women and children locally and around the world.

It’s a goal we reach together.

Our Focus:

Zonta Says No to Violence Against Women

Launched in 2012, this campaign has raised awareness of the global pandemic of women’s rights violations and has united Zonta clubs worldwide in conducting impactful advocacy actions to fight violence against women and gender inequality.

Human Trafficking

Human trafficking is a global issue that exploits women, children, and men for numerous purposes. The International Labour Organization estimates that 21 million people worldwide are victims of forced labor and human trafficking for labor and sexual exploitation. Zonta International stands behind this effort globally and Zonta Foothills Club is working with local schools and non-profits to raise awareness and and help women as they are rescued from exploitation.

Women’s Collaborative of Boulder County

Zonta Foothills Club of Boulder County is a proud founding member of the Women’s Collaborative of Boulder County. This non-partisan, non-sectarian coalition with over 20 participating non-profit organizations works together to support women and girls in our community through partnerships.
