The Zonta EducateZ Scholarship: Helping Women Stay in School

The Zonta Foothills Club of Boulder County and The Zonta Foothills Foundation created this scholarship to help women who face significant financial barriers to higher education. Zonta EducateZ Scholarship awards are made to further the post-secondary education of a woman student who wants to return to school, faces significant financial barriers to attending a college, university or any accredited institution and is committed to becoming self-sufficient through education.

To qualify for this scholarship, candidate must be a resident of the State of Colorado, have graduated from high school or have earned a GED, be admitted to a two or four-year accredited college, university, or trade school, demonstrate financial need, complete the required essay, participate in an interview if requested.

Applications for 2024 are no longer being accepted.

Complete Your Application for the Zonta EducateZ Scholarship Here

This initial steps are easy. All you need are these four main elements:

  1. Candidate’s contact information

  2. High School or college transcript (if available)

  3. Acceptance letter from a two or four-year accredited college, university or accredited school or trade school.  (If you have not yet been accepted or selected an institution, please indicate where you have applied and the anticipated acceptance date.)

  4. Letter of Recommendation from someone who can speak to your ability and desire to continue your education, your work experience and/or your high personal standards. (emailed to president@zontafoothills.org)

  5. Short Essay by candidate (400 word maximum - completed below)
